My story…

Jo Turner-Fuller in studio holding a Brampton Tales portrait

I’m Joanna, it’s really nice to meet you.

Who am I…

I’m a botanical artist, I draw with pressed and dried flowers, leaves and wonderful seed heads. I live in the lovely Northamptonshire countryside, where I collect many of the wonderful items that I use to make my portraits.

Brampton Tales is inspired by my lifelong love of nature, magic and fairy stories.

Inherited green fingers…

I cherish fond memories of my mum’s beautiful flower garden, it was such a peaceful place, full of love and tenderness. I still use the old wooden tools stored in my Gramp’s much-loved shed. I like to think that I inherited their green fingers and love pottering about in my own garden. Where I grow all sorts of wildflowers to press and preserve for my Brampton Tales. I also collect seeds and they arrive with your commission in little handmade envelopes.

My background…

I studied Illustration & Graphic Design at University in the 80’s and worked as a graphic designer until I left work to create my own real-life family.

The wonderful people in my life, an artistic imagination and an appreciation of nature led to the creation of Brampton Tales.

Little treasures…

I now spend my days collecting the treasures that the seasons drop, from beautiful blossoms to shiny conkers, and creating artwork that helps you celebrate the special people in your life.
